Obituary for Gloria Isela Six (Ahumada)

Our dear Gloria was born Gloria Isela Ahumada on the 21st of February 1956, in Los Angeles, California. She was taken to Heaven on Wednesday, the 20th of December 2017, in Katy, Texas.
Young Gloria grew up in Inglewood, California. She attended Catholic elementary schools, St. Francis Cabrini and St. John Chrysostom; Inglewood High School and then graduated from Hacienda Heights High School. She attended California State University at Fullerton for several semesters and concentrated her studies on business systems.
Gloria applied her educational interest into back office and medical billing. Thereafter, upon meeting the love of her life, she applied her skills and her knowledge into small business ownership and directing the finances thereof. After the death of her spouse and business partner, she did financing and accounting for a local construction company located in the museum district of Houston. Gloria was a great “people” person; she was generous almost to a fault and was fiercely protective of her entire family. Her interests included involving herself in family events: which would be game nights, sporting events and especially family birthdays and celebrations. In her free time, Gloria loved to watch mystery shows and spending an evening on the town enjoying great food.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of twenty years, Kenneth Sheldon Six II, whom she met in southern California. It was with Mr. Six that she built a life complete with three children; raising this family in Sugar Land, Texas: Dezeray Rose and husband Tavarus; Kenneth Sheldon Six III and Tyler Lee Six. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nikko; Christian; Treydan; and Ashton; her father, Ruben Ahumada; mother, Isabel “Lisa” A. Brown; her step-father, William “Bill” Brown; sister, Lourdes “Lulu” Ahumada; brothers, Ruben, Bethuel and George Ahumada; cousin, Tanya Nicely; nephew, George; niece, Clarissa; and numerous aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews and cousins in California; Florida; Arizona; Colorado and Hawaii.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Friday, December 29th in the Chapel of Divine Mercy at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd. in Sugar Land, where Fr. Jaison Thomas will officiate.
