Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Lyons

Elizabeth went home to her Savior and Lord on April 20, 2018. Born April 6, 1959, in Houston, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Ivy Randall and Kenneth Lyons, Sr. Elizabeth served as a missionary in Africa, Sunday School teacher, servant to the hurting and forgotten, to her family and friends, and to her church.

Elizabeth “Liz” Lyons, found her calling when she went on a missionary trip to Africa. It was harder than she had imagined, but it also brought an abiding joy to Liz’s spirit that she never forgot. While serving in Mozambique, Liz met and worked alongside a nurse from America, Barbara Iman. Barbara continued as a self supporting ministry in Africa for the next 10 years. The Lord moved her to the Middle East in 2016 where she served in Iraq near Molsul. Barbara is currently serving in a war zone in Syria.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Ivy Randall and Kenneth Lyons, Sr., her brother Kenneth Lyons, Jr., nephew Michael David Ross Eheler, and great-niece Aria Maria Nell Trahan.

Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Kathryn Eheler, and her children Christopher Eheler, Stevie Eheler, Lynzi Eheler, and Lynzi's daughter Brookelynne Eheler; her brother Mark Randall, his wife Laura, and their children Lane Randall, Brett Randall, and McKenna Randall; Elizabeth’s nieces, Maranda Lyons, Brandee Lyons, and Kristen Lyons; great-nieces Rylie-Lynn Wallace and Heidi Wallace; nephews Kenneth Lyons III and Samuel Lyons, and Samuel’s sons, Ace Lyons and Bailey Lyons; and her stepfather, Lainey Randall.
