Obituary for Carlos Javier Granero

Print
Carlos Javier Granero was born in Cordoba, Argentina on October 20, 1962. He went home to his heavenly Father on November 24, 2018 after a courageous battle with stomach cancer.
Carlos loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends, cracking jokes and always the life of the party. His sense of humor did not leave him even in his final days. He was an avid soccer fan (Viva Futbol Argentina)!! He also loved his Oilers, Texans, Rockets and Astros.
Carlos was a wonderful example to everyone and one of the best men there was and ever will be. He was loved by everyone who met him.
Carlos was a hardworking man. He worked for Gulf States Toyota for 30 years and spent his last 4 years working for Tramontina USA Inc. Carlos worked until his body would not let him anymore. Revealing the great work ethic that he learned at a young age.
Carlos would appreciate our laughter more than our tears. I would encourage everyone to share and reminisce about the many great times we had together with him.
Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Jose Granero-Hernandez; and his mother, Maria Haydee Granero. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Diane Marie Granero; his amazing children, Gabriela Kathleen Granero and Nicholas Daniel Granero; and his constant companion, Thor. Carlos always said that his children were his greatest accomplishment. He was a dedicated family man. Carlos is also survived by his brothers, Daniel Granero, Horace Granero, Richard Granero and Paul Granero.
Also left behind are countless friends who loved him and will cherish his memory. Many became family over the years.
Carlos was a fun-loving Uncle to 18 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews and 7 God children.
