Lacey Fox has dedicated her life to serving and caring for others, most recently at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons Funeral Directors. She was called into a service and caregiving role at a very young age after her father fell ill following a massive stroke. Her passion and talent for serving others, ultimately led her to her current profession in the funeral industry. As a Funeral Director, Lacey has received numerous awards, including the Highest JD Power Annual Rolling Score for six consecutive years.
As a second-generation native Houstonian, Lacey was a “lifer” at The Kinkaid School, graduating in 2003. Upon graduation, Lacey attended Texas Tech University, where she joined Delta Gamma Sorority. Lacey completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Communications with a Minor in Spanish at the University of Houston in 2007. Lacey obtained her Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, where she was inducted into the National Funeral Service Honor Society in 2008.
Most recently, Lacey served families as a funeral director at Geo. Lewis and Sons, one of the most prestigious funeral homes in the United States. She was responsible for meeting with client families, coordinating funeral services and visitations through contacting churches and venues.
Beginning her Funeral Service career at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons as a Provisional Licensee, Lacey was asked to serve as a funeral director at Earthman Southwest Chapel for three years. There she had the opportunity to work with client/families from different backgrounds, of all faiths, and many different financial situations. Ms. Fox learned that too often, funeral expense was a burden and an extra worry to those who were already in the grieving process. She realized there had to be a better way.
To prepare her for management, Lacey transferred to The Settegast-Kopf Company @ Sugar Creek as a funeral director/management trainee to prepare her to be adept at the myriad of business operations of a corporately owned funeral establishment.
In 2013, Ms. Fox was heavily recruited to join Geo. H. Lewis and Sons Funeral Directors by upper management, as she was uniquely qualified to serve the very discerning client/families who choose that prestigious firm, one of the most respected in the nation. Her responsibilities there have been numerous and wide-ranging. It is of great benefit to the firm that due to her education and family background she personally knew many of the families.
