Obituary for Mary Jane Gonzales

Mary Jane  Gonzales
Mary Jane Gonzales, age 70, of Houston, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on the 21st of January 2018. She was born on the 29th of June 1947 in Reading, Massachusetts, to Harry Norman Nichols and Mary Lou (Lewis) Reynolds.

Jane is survived by her two daughters, Christine Morris and Tara Jean Delacruz; grandchildren, Ellen Knowles Morris, Kallie Lair Delacruz and Kaden August Delacruz; brothers, Harry Norman Nichols, Jr., and wife, Lorinda and Sherman Clay Nichols and husband Phillip. She leaves behind several close friends and countless members of the CRPS/RSD community whom she encouraged and advocated for throughout the last decade of her life.

Jane loved to creatively express herself through writing. She authored over ten books that included poetry, devotional writings and her life experiences surrounding her faith in God and her journey with CRPS/RSD.

A memorial service celebrating Jane’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, the 5th of February 2018, in the Hankamer Chapel of Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway Drive in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in Parlor B.

In lieu of customary remembrances, please consider donations in Jane’s memory to the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (rsds.org).
